For The Guys
Hello,
I started off my card today by creating my own stamps because I wanted to use some geometric shapes and I do not have a set yet. I used some supplies that I already had; some pink rubber that I picked up at the hardware store in the plumbing department and some EZ cling mount foam, I had a little left over from some wood stamps that I converted into cling mount stamps. I found this really fun and had to play around with these stamps. I have made quilts in the past and found inspiration for this card by googling masculine quilts.
I made a 1" grid on my card panel and started by stamping a Frayed Leaf square in the upper left part of the panel. Then I stamped the parallelagram around the square in Forest Glades. I continued until I had the whole panel filled. Then I stamped the square stamp again in the white space left in Jet Black ink. I added some Wink of Stella clear ink pen to the black squares.
I adhered the panel to a white card base and added some heavier velum on top of it. Then I added a strip of black cardstock to the left side and thought it needed something else, so I cut a small strip of silver glitter paper and adhered that to the top of the black strip.
I cut the Birthday Dies from Concord & 9th out of black cardstock and adhered them to the card.
Thanks!
