ALTENEW MARCH 2022 WHIMSICAL FAIRY TALE RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY

Hi there! Welcome to Altenew Whimsical Fairy Tale Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Nathalie's blog and your next stop is Virginia Lu's.
You can also check out the blog list on the Altenew's Card Blog.

Check out all the amazing products from this release here.

I think the 3D Embossing Folders are quickly becoming one of my favorite products. And I have a couple of examples of how you could use them, But first I am going to show how I used the Double Rainbow Stencil.

I debated if I wanted to use this in a more traditional way, or some other way, and I landed on the latter. I began by taping my stencil to a Neenah solar white panel and blended Permanent Black ink partway down the stencil.

When that ws dry, I splattered Ruby Red, Orange Cream, Maple Yellow, Just Green, Tide Blue, and Ultraviolet inks down the card. Then I stamped the sentiment from Paint-A-Flower: Zinnia Magellan Rose stamp set with Permanent Black ink.

I used enamel dots from Red, Cosmos, Pocketful Of Sunshine, Essential Black, White, and Green Fields sets and placed them on the card and adhered the panel to a yellow card base.

For my next two cards I have used the Flower Bed 3D Embossing Folder. I absolutely love this folder.

I began by running the embossing folder through my die cutting machine with some tan cardstock and then rubbing some white pigment ink to the top of the raised areas. I wanted a little more depth, so I inked up the smoother side of the embossing folder with some Mocha ink and ran it back through the die cutting machine again.

I stamped the "happy" on some velum and wrapped that around to the back and taped it down. I cut the "birthday" from All About Wishes Die set once from gold mirror cardstock and then two more times from white cardstock. Adhered them together with the 2 in 1 Precision Glue Pen.

I adhered a thin strip of shimmery dark brown cardstock under the velum and then adhered the "birthday" to the top of the velum. I thought the flower centers needed something still, and added some Citrus Burst with the smallest Detailed Blending Brush.

For the second card using the Flower Bed 3D Embossing Folder, I first created a background panel using the alcohol inks and photo paper with RougeButtercream, and Volcano Lake inks. Waited for it to dry and then ran it through the die cutting machine with the 3D embossing folder.

I took a fingernail buffer and rubbed it over the top of the raised embossed paper. Cut the "thanks" from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Seasonal Blooms three times out of black cardstock and adhered them together and then to the panel. Finally adhered the panel to a teal card base.

For the last card I am sharing, I used the Peony Sunshine 3D Embossing Folder with watercolor paper, and ran it through the die cutting machine. I am not very good at watercoloring, but using the 3D embossing folder made it a lot easier. I painted the flower with the 24 Pan Watercolor Set.

I stamped the "I miss" from the Painted Butterflies stamp set onto a piece of white cardstock, and layered a strip of the Gilded Glitter Cardstock underneath and adhered that to the panel.

I cut the "you" from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Dynamic Blossoms three times from black cardstock and adhered them together with the 2 in 1 Precision Glue Pen. Finally, adhered the panel to a green card base.

Thanks for joining in the hop.

ALTENEW: CELEBRATING PARENTS CARD DRIVE AND BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY 2022

Welcome!

I hope you are having a fantastic day! What an honor to be celebrating with Altenew for this event. Altenew's goal is to send cards to the elderly that live in nursing homes or shelters to let them know they’re not forgotten. Check out the Celebrating Parents Card Drive and join this great cause by sending in your cards.

What would we do without parents. They come in all shapes and sizes. And I am very blessed to have such wonderful parents. I don't know what I would do without my parents. They have been such a good example for me. I wanted to make a thank you card for this, since parents deserve a thousand thanks, and many more!

You should have arrived here from SathyaKala's blog and you can go back to the beginning of the hop here

I began this card by stamping the large stamp from Geometric Botany and heat embossing it with Platinum embossing powder on watercolor cardstock. I used the wet on wet tecnique and dropped different blues and greens from the 24 Pan Watercolor set onto the panel and let it dry.

Then I took the "thanks" from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Seasonal Blooms and cut it out of Gilded Glitter Cardstock, then cut two more from some white cardstock. I adhered those together and added a velum outline "thanks" behind it. I stamped the flower looking stamp from the set in Turquoise onto a turquoise card base and then adhered a white panel to the card and adhered the watercolored panel to the top.

To complete the card, I added some Gold sequins.

Thanks for visiting.

ALTENEW: PAINT-A-FLOWER: ZINNIA MAGELLAN ROSE OUTLINE STAMP SET RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY

 Welcome to the hop.

You should have arrived here from Katrina's blog or you can start at the beginning here.

Your next stop is Nandini Karmarkar

There is a giveaway and some special offer info regarding the release of the Paint-A-Flower: Zinnia Magellan Rose at the end of my blog or you can find more on the Altenew blog here.

I thought I would venture outside of my normal go to's and give a loose watercolor look a try. I began by stamping the floral from the Paint-A-Flower: Zinnia Magellan Rose Stamp Set onto a watercolor panel with Permanent Black ink. I let it dry to make sure the color would not bleed.

I then added water to the panel and added the color from the 24 Pan Watercolor set, and let it dry. I added some depth with the Artist markers in B201, G015, Y316, C004, Y207, Y106, R056, R217, Y608, Y514, and G804. I added spatters with some Antique Gold Metallic Ink Spray, and some of the colors I watercolored with.

I stamped the sentiment and adhered it to a gold colored card base and added some yellow enamel dots from the Pocketful Of Sunshine set.

Thank you so much for visiting!

ALTENEW: MARCH MINI DELIGHT: CUPCAKE

Hello, and welcome.
Altenew has the cutest mini stamp and die sets and here is yet another one. This is an Instagram hop and you can start the hop here.

I've created this cute cupcake with the Mini Delight Cupcake stamp and some Neenah white cardstock, Pink Diamond and Pinkalicious crisp dye inks.

I used some washi from the Enjoy The Ride Washi Bundle for the cupcake liner. Then Die cut the cupcake out with the coordinating die.

I cut the frames from the Mix and Match Frames dies from some Neenah white cardstock and adhered them to a white card base.

I stamped the "birthday"  from the Mini Delight Cupcake stamp set on a piece of white cardstock with Permanent Black ink and cut it out and rubbed the edges with Pinkalicious ink. To add the "birthday" sentiment, I cut a slit in the cupcake and tucked the end in and adhered to the the center of the card. Finally, I cut the "happy" three times from the All About Wishes Dies from some grey cardstock and adhered them to the card.

Thanks for visiting.
