ALTENEW PAINT-A-FLOWER: LOTUS OUTLINE STAMP SET RELEASE BLOGHOP + GIVEAWAY

Hello fellow crafty friends!

I'm participating with Altenew today for their blog hop.

You should have come from Ardyth Percy-Robb. Wasn't her project simply lovely. I loved how she made it look like a piece of artwork.

When I saw this stamp for the first time, I  thought there were many ways you could create a card with it.

I started stamping the Paint-A-Flower Lotus stamp across the bottom middle of a slimline card panel, masking off the flower on the left side. I thought the little flower tucked into the image next to it would be perfect. Then, masking off the outer edges of the first stamped image, I stamped it two more times, one on each side of the first.

I started to color the images in with Altenew Artist Markers in R301, R217,G702, and G935. I used the tip to tip method, so I did not apply too much of the darker shade to the flowers and leaves.

Then I put that one aside and decided to stamp the Lotus stamp onto a velum panel that was treated with an anti-static powder tool, with a versa mark pad and heat embossed it with some platinum embossing powder.  I started coloring that one in on the back side of the velum with the Altenew Artist Markers. This technique is really lovely, and creates such soft colors.

I used the Deco Wallpaper Stencil and embossed a green panel by running it through my die cutter with an embossing mat. I did this for both versions of the card that I had started.I blended the top of the slimline panel with Caribbean Sky, Tide Blue, and Ocean Waves inks. And the bottom of the panel with Olive ink.

By this time in my project, there were a few projects that had been submitted that I could view, and they all used the whole image. So I went back to the first card that I had started, the slimline card.

I stamped the sentiment from Mega Succulent with some Jet black ink. I cut the bottom of the panel following the water line from the stamp, and adhered a narrow strip of black cardstock to the bottom.

I adhered the panel to a green piece of cardstock, then adhered those to the embossed green cardstock. And finally adhered them to a white card base and added some sequins.

Thank you so much for visiting.

Head over to your NEXT STOP: Michelle Short (@thecardgrotto)

I've made two cards for the Instagram hop today. I started this card bu blending Mountain Mist, Minty Mint, Wisteria, Sea Breeze, Frosty Pink, Sunkessed, Sweet Leaf, and Citrus Burst onto some Neenah Solar White cardstock.

Treated the panel with an anti-static powder tool, stamped the Winsome Bloom flower image onto the colored panel with embossing ink, white heat embossed it and cut them out with the coordinating die. Then I deepeed the colors with the darker colors mentioned.

I used the Dainty Swiss Dot stamp and clear heat embossed a khaki panel after treating it with an anti-static powder tool. I stamped the sentiment from For All Seasons onto a white panel with some Jet Black Ink and layered them onto a white card base. And finished with some sequins to the flower centers.

I started this card similarly, by white heat embossing the Winsome Bloom flower on velum after treating the velum with an anti-static powder tool.

I laid out the flowers onto a white panel and used the Artist Markers to simply color areas where the flowers and leaves would lay. Deepening up the center of the flowers and center of the leaves. Glued the velum flowers onto the panel with some liquid glue in the centers of the flowers and leaves.

I cut the inside diamond shape from a white panel and then out of some gold mirror card and insetting the frame. I then cut a frame for the outside of the panel with the same gold mirror card. I adhered the panel to a coral card base and stamped the sentiment with some Forest Glade Ink from Paint-A-Flower Poppy onto the card. Finished this one with some clear crystal drops.

EXOTIC FLOWER VIDEO HOP

 Welcome!

I'm Linda I'm joining Altenew's Exotic Garden Video Hop

One of my favorite things to do is find a ready made gift bag that I have stamps or things that I can create card to match or go with the bag. Or, to make a bag and card that match.

I started this card by covering a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" Neenah solar white cardstock with Altenew Peach Gold Wide Washi. Cutting the corners on a diagonal and folding the extra to the back.

I used Altenew Mixed Media Jet Black Ink and stamped Altenew Blooming Tulips outline flower, leaf, stem, and sentiment on the washi covered panel. I did not use any anti-static powder tool. I found on the washi it made the ink dry too quickly, and then the clear embossing powder would not stick.

I clear embossed them and heat set it.

Then I covered the front of a white gift bag with the same washi and overlapped the flap on the bottom of the bag, gluing the overhanging part with a little liquid glue. and then I cut slits in the washi tape where the handles in the bag are and folded over and glued them down to the inside of the bag.

I stamped the bag in the same way as the card, but did not stamp the sentiment on the bag.

I adhered the card panel to a black piece of cardstock with foam tape, and the adhered that to a peach card base with some tape runner.

Thanks for visiting.

ALTENEW 8"X11" MAJESTIC BOUQUET STAMP SET RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY

Welcome!

I am Joining in Altenew 8”x11” Majestic Bouquet Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway. You should have just come from Victoria Calvin. Her card was beautiful!

This Majestic Bouquet set is wonderful.

You can see all things pertaining to the blog hop at Altenew.

I started the card by setting my first stamp into my Misti and first stamping a white panel with Permanent Black ink and then a black panel with white pigment ink. Then I created a mask for the flower and repeated the process stamping black ink on the white card, and white ink o the black card masking where needed, until I was happy with the layout. Then I cut the white panel down to the size I wanted.

When I was stamping the different components, I would dry the white ink with a heat tool a little to speed up the drying.

I cut out a frame using a frame die and adhered it to the white panel. Then stamped the "Thank You" sentiment and leaf with Permanent Black Ink.

I adhered the white panel to the black one, and then adhered those to a black card base. This is a beautiful set! I can't wait to use it again.

This set is a large set and can be stored in a binder.

Thanks for joining me. I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop.
