Sending You Love

One Layer Card

I was trying to think of something that inspired me for the two challenges I was going to combine.

My In-laws invited us to go to Paris last fall. We went with my husbands parents, his siblings and their spouses.

When we were getting ready to go, I have a neighbor who asked me if I was planning to take a picture by the Eiffel Tower with a red Umbrella? It rained, and rained, and rained, but I did not have a red umbrella and I did not get that picture. So Alison, this ones for you!

I started off with this card by using these stamp sets.

I stamped a test paper of what I wanted to accomplish and got to work stamping.

I first stamped the umbrella. It was not quite big enough for the girl, so I drew it a little larger by adding a layer to first just one side, and then decided that it needed one on both. I next stamped the girl on the bench, but wiped the stamp clean where there was the apples next to her and the one at her mouth. And then Stamped the Eiffel Tower.

I then created some masks and Ink blended the background with Distress Inks. I spritzed the panel with my water bottle and blotted up the extra, and let it dry. It wasn't until I was coloring it in that I noticed that I forgot to cut out the space between her legs. So I will fix that with my coloring.

I colored everything in with Copic Markers.

I added some details like grass, polka dots to her umbrella, blending in of the land where the Eiffel Tower sits, added a collar to her jacket and gave it polka dots, outlined the bench, girl and umbrella.

I stamped my sentiment onto some black cardstock with VersaMark ink, and white heat embossed it. It was bigger than what I wanted, so I bubble cut it out. I used some fun foam to mount the panel to a red card base. and then used some 3M foam tape to adhere my sentiment and the little heart I punched out of red cardstock. I added Glossy Accents to the two hearts.

adding pinterest script 3. Changing the Position of the Pin it! button The cool thing about this code is that you have some freedom over where the Pinterest button for Blogger will go over the image. Take a look at the code that you just copied and pasted into the HTML for the word 'center'.
