ALTENEW: CRAFT-A-FLOWER: BUTTERFLY BUSH RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY (Total of $200 in prizes)

Hello!

It's so nice of you to join me today!

I am participating in the Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Butterfly Bush Release.  You should have come from the blog of Amy Hill. If you would like to go back to the beginning of the hop, head over to the Altenew blog here.

There is a monthly subscription plan for the Craft-A-Flower sets which will save you some money if you love these sets. You can cancel at anytime. Find out more about the monthly subscription here.

When I googled this beautiful flower I found this awesome picture of one called Kaleidoscope Bicolor Butterfly Bush.

I set out to create something that resembles this beautiful picture, and wanted to use alcohol inks to do this. I created my different alcohol colored papers using photo paper and these alcohol ink colors. Fresh Lemon, Autumn Blaze, Pinkalicious,  Midnight Violet, Mountain Pine, Grass Field, Mocha, and Black

The first time I used photo paper with alcohol inks, I thought I did something wrong because it did not turn out. But I found that you need to use the back side- not shiny side of the paper. These were a couple of the pieces that I created for this project. Dry completely before cutting.

I used the Craft-A-Flower: Butterfly Bush dies to cut out all the parts of the flower and butterflies and set them aside.

If any ink is left on the dies, you can clean it up with some alcohol.

I took a panel of Neenah Solar white cardstock and stenciled stripes on it with the Watercolor Stripes Stencil with Silver Stone Ink. Then I cut the largest flower, leaf and stem shape from it. Around the opening, I blended some Sea Glass Ink.

Then on a white card base, I adhered the stenciled background with the Instant Dimension Foam Tape

I adhered the bottom layers of the flower flat to the card, for the second layer I adhered them with foam tape, and then the top layer with liquid glue.

Finally, I added the butterfly and stamped a sentiment from the Victorian Greenhouse Stamp Set.

Thank you!

adding pinterest script 3. Changing the Position of the Pin it! button The cool thing about this code is that you have some freedom over where the Pinterest button for Blogger will go over the image. Take a look at the code that you just copied and pasted into the HTML for the word 'center'.
