ALTENEW: MAY 2022 DREAMS COME TRUE COLLECTION RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY

($300 in total Prizes)

Hi, and welcome!

I hope you are enjoying the hop, and I hope you can find some inspiration in your visit.

If you are following in the hop, you should have come from Tenia Nelson, or you can go back to the beginning at the Altenew Card Blog.

I've created three projects for this hop. This first card is for my daughter's birthday in June. (shhhhhhh)

I began by Using the All Things A Simple Coloring Stencil Set with Citrus Burst, Warm Sunshine, Shadow Creek, Aqualicious, and Puffy Heart to fill in the different areas of the stencils to create the A.

I cut the A out with a pair of scissors since I do not have the die or stamp set that coordinates with these stencils, but they are available over on the Altenew web site. I also cut a black A slightly larger than the colored one.

I used a Neenah white cardstock panel and the Flower Bed 3D Embossing Folder to create a background for my card, which I adhered to a white card base and black piece of cardstock, and adhered the A to the center.

I stamped the rest of her name using the Incredible Stamp Set. I had to stamp each layer by using tape to mask off the letters on both sides of the one that I wanted, then inking the letter up, removing the tape and stamping the letter. I cut it out and adhered it the card with some Instant Dimension Foam Tape.

I cut a "happy" and "birthday" from the All About Wishes Die Set, and adhered them to the inside of the card.

For the second card, I wanted to create a pencil holder with pencils inside. I stamped the pencils from the Educators Rule Stamp and Die Set with (big breath- there were a lot of colors) Citrus Burst, Fresh Lemon, Sunkissed, Orange Cream, Pastel Sunrise, Canyon Clay, Rose Quartz, Puffy Heart, Wisteria, Hydrangea, Polar Bear, Icy Water, Dew Drops, Aqualicious, Bamboo, Parrot, Blush- eraser color, Limestone and Silver Stone for the metal end, and Sand Dune, Rocky Shore, and Pure Granite for the writing end. Then I used the coordinating die set to cut the pencils out.

For the pencil holder, I drew the shape I wanted onto a piece of cardstock and stamped the apples in with Pastel Sunrise, Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss, and Crimson inks.

I stamped the sentiments onto the pencil holder with Obsidian Black Ink and heat set it to make it permanent.

I used Artist markers in BG3 or R902(they are the same), WG01, and WG03 to add dimension to the holder.

I embossed the Crystal Wall 3D Embossing Folder on a piece of Neenah cardstock and adhered it to a white card base. I blended on the bottom of the card in Sand Dune and Silver Stone. ..

I adhered the pencils and holder tot he card with liquid glue and Instant dimmension Foam Tape.

For my last card, I stamped the large outline flower image from the Wispy Joy Stamp Set onto some gray cardstock with Obsidian Black Ink and Clear     heat embossed it. I colored it in with a white, gray, and black Woodless Colored Pencils.

I stamped the sentiment from the Victorian Greenhouse Stamp Set and added details in with a white gel pen and the Fine Liner Pen Set.

Lastly, adhered it to a white card base.

Thank you so much for visiting.
