ALTENEW: MARCH 2022 FOLKTALES & STORIES COLLECTION RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY($300 in total prizes)
Hello!
It's a pleasure to be able to participate today!
You have probably come from Rosie's blog, and if you would like to make your way back to the beginning of the hop, you can find that here.
I have a couple of projects to share today.
For my first project, I stamped the new Geometric Botany Stamp Set on some masking paper and cut off the parts that I want to show on the card. Then covered a Neenah solar white panel with the inside part of the masking paper and stamped it again in some Permanent Black Ink.
I removed the masking paper and used the coordinating stamps to fill in some of the areas with Moss and Morning Frost inks.
I then outlined the edges with an Artist maker in B201 and used the Artist Colorless Blender to soften the edges into the white. I cut the "happy" from the Mighty Alphabet Dies in some green cardstock as well as two layers worth in black. Glued them up and adhered them to the panel. Stamped the "birthday" from the Tulip stamp set in Permanent Black ink and adhered the panel to a green card base.
I used the You Matter die set to cut the sentiments from some black and white cardstock and silver foil cardstock. Layered the "you" up and adhered them to the panel. Adhered the panel and a black one that is slightly larger to a white card base.
For the last card, I started with some Canson watercolor paper. I used some masking tape and taped a border around the outside of it. I used the
Artist 24 Pan Watercolor set to add the yellow, green, and blue to the panel. While it was still wet, I sprinkled some salt on it and let it dry.
Stamped the "you" in Permanent Black ink on the panel. Stamped and heat embossed the sub sentiment and adhered it to the panel. Adhered that panel to a black panel and then to add a little more interest on the turquoise card base, I stamped around the outside in Turquoise ink with a leaf from the Wildflower Garden stamp set. Then adhered them together.
