ALTENEW EXOTIC GARDEN STAMPS/DIES/STENCILS/EMBOSSING FOLDERS COLLECTION RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY

Hi There!

What a fantastic release. So many beautiful products. You can see all the goodies at the Exotic Garden release collection page. Or shop Altenew for all your crafting supply needs.

You should have come from Lilith's blog. Didn't you love her use of the Banana Leaves Embossing Folder.

I have created three projects for this release. The first is a card using the Bitterroot Flower Layering Stencils.

I started by blending Emerald ink to the lower two thirds of a white cardstock panel. Then I layered the Sea Shore Slim Washi tapes onto the panel, cutting some to make different widths. I blended Emerald to the outside of another piece of cardstock, then blended Jet Black to the lower part and adhered both of those to a white card base. Then on another cardstock panel. I used Crisp Dye inks in the Sea Shore collection and the Tropical Forest collection to create the flowers and leaves.

I added black lines to the flower and leaves and white gel pen to the centers. Then I used the Bitterroot Flower Die to cut it out. I also die cut two more from black cardstock. Layered them up, the black ones, split to create shadow around most of the floral die cut,  and adhered it to the panel. I used Altenew Birthday Greeting Stamp Set and stamped the sentiment with Jet Black ink. And added some sequins.

For my second card I used the beautiful Enchanting Beauty Stamp Set and some watercolor cardstock panel.

I placed the single long leafy branch onto a Misti Stamping Tool and used Silver Stone Crisp Dye ink. Inked the stamp and then misted it with water and stamped it. I used a damp paint brush and blended out the lines. Moved the stamp and repeated the process. Then placed the other two stamps and did the same process with Coral Bliss Crisp Dye Ink.

I treated a piece of acetate with an anti static tool (a.k.a. baby powder) used the larger stamp and stamped it with Versafine black ink and then clear heat embossed it. I had to be careful because acetate warps really easily.

I stamped the sentiment from the set using some Jet Black Crisp dye Ink. Added a few drops of glue behind the image on the acetate and glued it to the watercolor panel. Added the paperclip and adhered the panel to a coral colored base.

My third project I used the Blooming Tulips Stamp set. And what a stunning set this is. It is so easy to use, that I created three items with it.

I started with a white card panel cut to 4" by 5 1/4". Stamped the outline image of the tulip, stem, and leaf in Gina K Amalgam ink. It works with The Altenew Artist Alcohol markers.

I colored the flower in with the Artist Alcohol Markers in R400, R301, R206, Y204, G702, G715, G554, and colored the outside with R926.

I stamped the sentiment with the Carpe Diem Stamp Set onto a piece of black cardstock with VersaMark ink and white heat embossed it. Cut it out and adhered it to the panel with foam tape. Then adhered it to a white card base.

Loved that, and decided to make and envelope liner to match, using the same method as for the card, cut it to fit, then adhered the panel to the inside of an envelope.

I love finding a gift bag and making a card to match. But instead I made a gift bag to match the card and envelope.

I took a white gift bag, and lining the inside with some parchment paper so the markers will not bleed through, created a frame around the top and sides and did the same as for the card and envelope. I ended up blending some black Artist Alcohol Marker to the top of the bag and card.

I added some white spots to the centers the flowers on the card, liner, and bag. I made a hole in each side of the bag and threaded the silver elastic through and tied a bow.

Next up on the blog hop is Maryam Perez.
