Hello fellow crafty friends!
I'm participating with Altenew today for their blog hop.
You should have come from Ardyth Percy-Robb. Wasn't her project simply lovely. I loved how she made it look like a piece of artwork.
I started stamping the Paint-A-Flower Lotus stamp across the bottom middle of a slimline card panel, masking off the flower on the left side. I thought the little flower tucked into the image next to it would be perfect. Then, masking off the outer edges of the first stamped image, I stamped it two more times, one on each side of the first.
I started to color the images in with Altenew Artist Markers in R301, R217,G702, and G935. I used the tip to tip method, so I did not apply too much of the darker shade to the flowers and leaves.
Then I put that one aside and decided to stamp the Lotus stamp onto a velum panel that was treated with an anti-static powder tool, with a versa mark pad and heat embossed it with some platinum embossing powder. I started coloring that one in on the back side of the velum with the Altenew Artist Markers. This technique is really lovely, and creates such soft colors.
I used the Deco Wallpaper Stencil and embossed a green panel by running it through my die cutter with an embossing mat. I did this for both versions of the card that I had started.I blended the top of the slimline panel with Caribbean Sky, Tide Blue, and Ocean Waves inks. And the bottom of the panel with Olive ink.
