ALTENEW INDIAN LOTUS BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY

Hi There!

Welcome to the release of the Altenew Build-A-Flower Indian Lotus Release. You should be coming to me from LauraJane. Didn't you love her use of the soft pastel colors. Amazing!

I started by stamping the outline image twice from Altenew Indian Lotus stamp set on some masking paper, and then cutting them out. Then I stamped the same image on gray cardstock with Versafine black ink and then clear heat embossing them, stamping the flowers that would be in the front, heat embossing them, and then repeating the process with the flowers in the back.

I shaded in the flowers with some colored pencils. Two gray, black and white, using a similar stroke that you would use when using alcohol markers. After the coloring with the pencils, I added shading around the outside, and then black to the areas that would be deep with a Copic Multiliner. I then added highlights to the flowers with a white gel pen.

I stamped the "You", sentiment in the same fashion as the flowers, and stamped the "we appreciate" with VersaMark ink and heat embossing it in white on a black strip of card.

I adhered the sentiment to the panel and added spots in varying sizes to the panel with a white gel pen and the black multiliner. Finally, I adhered the panel to a white card base, and this card was complete.

I loved the colors of the Indian Lotus when I searched for images of what the Indian Lotus looked like.

I started this second panel in the same way as the first card, but on some watercolor card instead. Then I used the Altenew 24 pan watercolor set to paint in the flowers. Added highlights and spots on the flowers with the white gel pen, and to the card with a Copic Multiliner.

I stamped the "birthday wishes" sentiment from Altenew Birthday Greetings stamp set on another strip of black cardstock with VersaMark ink and white heat embossing it. I cut straight along the top and bottom of the sentiment closer, and then cutting around the parts that stuck out further.

I added a small strip of gold washi to the bottom of the sentiment piece, and also to three sides of some black cardstock. I adhered the black cardstock on a hot pink card base, and then adhered the panel on top of that. Finally adhering the sentiment to the card.

ALTENEW WILDFLOWER PAPER CRAFTING COLLECTION RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY

What a fun Birthday month for Altenew. I am lucky enough to be able to share birthday months as well as share this celebration with them.

These are some fantastic go-to paper supplies that will make creating cards or scrapbook pages a breeze.

For this card I layered the Ephemera pieces from Altenew Pink Posy Ephemera onto the panel adding foam tape to some to give some more dimension. The Ephemera on the top of the panel, I cut apart and used a different flower in the center. I stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Greetings set by Altenew in the center with black ink. Added some sequins and then adhered the panel to a pink card base. And then thought it needed something, so I added some splatter looking dots with a black pen.

Learning my lesson from the first card, I started by splattering a white panel with some black ink and then adhered two strips from the Wildflower 6x6 Paper onto the panel. I then added Ephemera pieces from the Bitty Bits Ephemera using some foam tape on parts to add dimension. I stamped the sentiment onto another strip of the Wildflower paper and then adhered it to the panel. Adhered some sequins and then adhered the panel to a white card and number two was complete.

My third card I think is the favorite. I started by cutting a piece of the Wildflower Paper into 1 inch squares and then rubbing the edges into VersaMark ink and heat embossing with some champagne colored embossing powder. Adhered them to a white card panel and then cut off the overhanging pieces. I stamped "You" from Altenew Tulip set onto a black card strip and white heat embossed it. Added the "Love" Ephemera sentiment and flower from the Pink Posy Ephemera and a water droplet to the center of the flower and adhered that to the panel. Then adhered the panel to a black card base.

ALTENEW CELEBRATING PARENTS CARD DRIVE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY

Hi there! Today I am joining with Altenew for the Celebrating Parents Card Drive blog hop! If you are following the hop then you should have come from Kelly Griglione, or you can return back to Altenew Card Blog. Find out more about the card drive at Celebrating Parents Card Drive blog post.

I have created a card using the beautiful Flower Garden stamp set from Altenew. First I stamped the images using some black ink on Neenah 80 lb. cardstock and loosely cut them out.

Blending from the middle of the flowers, then working outward, I used Altenew blending brushes with Crisp Dye Inks. First, with Warm Sunshine, then Pink Pearl, and lastly blending in a little Heart Beat. For the leaves, I used Sweet leaf Crisp Dye Ink. The Altenew Blending Brushes are incredible and make the blending a breeze.

I fussy cut out the flowers and leaves and set them aside. I used some of the same inks mixed with a little water and added splatters on another piece of Neenah cardstock cut at 3 1/4" by 8 1/4".

I cut the Altenew Twigtastic die shape from Neenah cardstock and adhered that to the splattered background. Then I stamped a sentiment from Altenew Incredible stamp set with Jet Black Crisp Dye Ink.

I adhered the flowers and leaves to the card panel. Finally I adhered the panel to a coordinating card base and used a little Wink of Stella pen to add some glitter to the center of the flowers.

I am very lucky to have wonderful parents who support me and our family. Due to COVID, our visits have been very limited this past year. I am glad we can celebrate our parents through this blog hop.
