Hello, Welcome!

4 color Rainbow

I will be making a cad using 4 colors to creare my rainbow, blending my Distress Oxide inks.
I used Lucky Clover, Salty Ocean, Picked Raspberry, and Spiced Marmeade. Blended those with my ink blending tools, going back over them until I had it the way that I wanted.

Then I took the My Favorite Things "Thanks" Die-Namics and cut it out of black cardstock. I used my negative space for placement and  adhered the letters using some 3M foam tape. In hind-sight, I wish that I would have used black fun foam for that so you did not see the white behind the letters, but I still like the card in the end.

I created the sentiment strip using a piece of black cardstock and stamping "You're #1 in My Book" from My Favorite Things, Bookworm stamp set.

I used double-sided adhesive to attach my card panel to a blue card. Then I adhered my sentiment strip using some 3M foam tape under the word "Thanks."

I used Wink Of Stella to add some sparkle to the word "Thanks" and made three dots using Nuvo Simply White Crystal Drops.

That completes the card.

I hope to get the video up quick, there is a bonus card using the same 4 colors to create a birthday card. I made these cards for a "My Favorite Things" Color Challenge.

Hello And Welcome!

Playing With Fire!

Today I'm using a fun stamp set from Art Impressions called "Chocolate Therapy." And I do love me some chocolate. Especially when it comes in cake form.

I started my card off today by playing with some fire. I burned the top edge of my card in the middle. Then I placed the image onto my panel and decided that I wanted more of the top burned. So I played some more until I got the look that I desired.

I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. And then again on a piece of Eclipse masking tape. I then fussy cut it out of the masking paper and placed that on my panel over the image.

I am doing some ink blending with some Distress Inks in Walnut Stain, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, and Barn Door. I started with the Walnut Stain on the top of the panel to accentuate the burnt edge and moving down the side of the panel with the Mustard Seed, then the Spiced Marmalade, and finally the Barn Door along the bottom.

I sprayed a fine mist of water on top and dried it off with a paper towel. Then I removed the mask and colored the image with Copic Markers.

When the coloring was complete, I took a piece of red cardstock and stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment in VersaMark Ink. Then embossed it with black embossing powder and heat set it.

I then burnt the top folded edge of a blue A2 size card base. Then adhered the panel to it using some double-sided adhesive and then the sentiment with some 3M foam tape.

I am participating in Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Anything Goes.

Welcome!

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge

I thought that I would try to make some cards by participating in some of the challenges that some of my favorite stamp companies hold.

My Favorite Things Sketch 370.

I started by taking a heart cookie cutter and tracing half of it onto a folded piece of cardstock. Then I cut it out with a pair of scissors.

I placed a piece of white cardstock into my stamp positioner and stamped my dragon and smoke from the "My Favorite Things" "Magical Dragons" stamp set, in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Then I took the heart and placed in top where I stamped my dragon and smoke. And then I blended some Barn Door Distress Ink around the outside, making it darker right up next to the heart.

I then colored my images in with Copic markers and outlined the images with an EK Success journaling pen. I placed my panel back into my stamp positioner and stamped "You Make My Life MAGICAL" in VersaFine Onyx Black ink. I wanted another little smoke spot. So I drew one in with my EK Success pen and used Copic markers to add some dimmension.

Then adhered the panel to some fun foam with double-sided adhesive, then to my red card base with some more double-sided adhesive.

I added Wink Of Stella to the smoke, tummy, inside of feet, and horns, and added a little white highlights with a white gel pen. Finished by adding some Nuvo Ebony Black Crystal Drops to his eyes and that's my card

Thanks for joining me today.
